Beta Chi Pi Science Honor Society
St. Mary’s High School is a Beta Chi Pi - Science Teachers of Missouri (STOM) science honor society member.

Requirements for Membership:
1.  The student must be a current St. Mary’s High School student.
2.  The student must have accumulated a minimum of 300 points in honors science courses. This is accumulated by earning 50 points for each semester's A letter grade and 25 points for each semester's B letter grade.
3.  The student must have satisfactory conduct for every quarter in all courses during high school.
4.  The student must have a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA out of 4 for all high school science courses.
5.  The student must have a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA out of 4 for all high school courses.
6.  The student will become eligible for membership into Beta Chi Pi after he has completed his junior year.
7.  The student’s eligibility will be determined in the first month of his senior year.
 
If a student has successfully met all seven requirements for membership, he will receive his membership certificate and shall become a part of the state Beta Chi Pi honor society.

Science Teachers of Missouri (STOM) is the state chapter of the National Science Teachers Association. As the state chapter, STOM works closely with NSTA on education issues at the National Level. STOM promotes the professional interests of the Missouri science education community and serves as a link with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, speaking for teachers on matters related to science education.
